High Tourist Months & Hours at Golden Bridge Ba Na Hills
The best months to visit Golden Hands Bridge in the year are from February to the end of August. During this time, it’s always sunny and dry, bringing a great experience to visitors. The high tourist season is from the middle of May to the middle of July. Why? Because students in Vietnam will have a summer vacation which lasts three months and by that, Vietnamese family trips are always planned. Da Nang is well known for beaches and Ba Na Hills has cool weather, making them so crowded. Additionally, Da Nang International Fireworks Festival with amazing performances of lights in the sky that occur in June/July, is a great reason to travel to Da Nang.
Vietnamese public holidays are Hung Kings Festival in April, Reunification Day on 30th April, and International Labour Day on 1st May. Sure, the bridge is crowded around these days.
In the rainy season, from September to the end of January, it rains frequently, but that doesn’t mean that Golden Hands Bridge won’t be less attractive to sightseeing. Visitors always need to remember to check the weather forecast once going to this place. The high tourist season is between October and February when many people go on Christmas and international New year, and later Vietnamese New year festival.
During the day, high hours at Golden Hands Bridge are between 9 am and 12 pm. The reason is that the first cable car opens at 8 am. Group tours often see the bridge and surroundings before having lunch.

Top 7 Ways to Avoid Crowds in Golden Bridge & Ba Na Hills
Visit in the Early Morning
Large groups of tourists often start their trip at 8-9 AM (most popularly, from Da Nang city). So, crowds will appear at Golden Bridge/Ba Na Hills around 9 AM.
To avoid crowds in the morning, visitors should be in Ba Na Hills around 8 AM when it’s just opened. It’s better to arrive a lit earlier than 8 because time is needed for ticketing (or buying coffee/beverages, something for breakfast, toilet).
Visitors are advised using private transfers to reach Golden Bridge/Ba Na Hills in the early morning. Contact us by +84968009827 (hotline/whatsapp/line/zalo) to get more details and book.
After getting entry tickets, let’s go to the cable car stations. The quickest cable car to Golden Hands Bridge is from the Hoi An Station (this station is also easiest to reach and lowest compared to others). Visitors need around 15 mins to complete a ride on this cable car, and after landing, only need a short walk to see the bridge.
However, the cable car to Golden Hands Bridge from the Hoi An station is not always available during the day. When you come and can’t ride it, please follow the instructions of the staff to go to the closest cable car station.
From the Suoi Mo Station, after landing the cable car, it’s needed to use a funicular ride (free) to go up the hill where the Golden Hands Bridge is located. After reaching the hilltop, visitors should walk outside, turn left, walk through the colorful ceramic gate, and then go straight to see the bridge.
From the Thac Toc Tien Station, after landing the cable car, it’s needed to walk to the Louvre station (indoor, 500m away). Here, continue riding the cable car for 5 mins to reach another mountain. After getting the cable car, go downstairs and turn left to see the Golden Hands Bridge.
From the Champa Station, after landing the cable car, it’s needed to walk through the French Village to get to the Louvre station (indoor) (the distance is 1 km). Here, continue riding the cable car for 5 mins to reach another mountain. After getting the cable car, go downstairs and turn left to see the Golden Hands Bridge.

Visit in the Late Afternoon/Sunset
Late afternoon (after 4 PM) is another good time to avoid crowds at Ba Na Hills and Golden Bridge. From Da Nang/Hoi An, we recommend going at 2-2:30 PM. When arriving (after 1hr), it’s difficult to see crowds in ticket counters, or stations for the cable car. The reason is that tourists often get to Ba Na Hills in the morning, to have a full day of exploration. They also think that it’s too late to go in the afternoon.
In the late afternoon, big groups of tourists return to the city or are waiting for the cable car to get back. Other tourists who started the trip in the morning are tired, and want to leave the park too. For that reason, the long queues don’t exist anywhere around Ba Na Hills (except cable car stations up the mountain).
About the Golden Hands Bridge only, the most peaceful time to see and photograph is about 1hr before the sunset time (use Google to search when the sunset occurs). At that time, the bridge was nearly empty and the temperature was really cool. If lucky, visitors have the chance to see a beautiful scene of sunset from here, and sure to take memorable photos. Sunset is absolutely one of things that should not be missed out in the Golden Hands Bridge.
To have a trip in Ba Na Hills with perfect timings, visitors should book a guided tour. We recommend taking the one from local companies to support their business and give something to locals.

Use a Private Transfer to Save Time
Visitors have to use a private vehicle or transfer to get to Ba Na Hills/Golden Bridge if want to avoid the crowd. We recommend booking a private round trip by car/minivan. Local drivers will pick up at the hotel, at the time visitors requested and then head to Ba Na Hills by the quickest road. In the morning, sure the car will arrive by 8 AM (in the afternoon, the arrival time depends on when you start). The cost is also inexpensive if book from local companies and drivers as well. Contact us by +84968009827 (hotline/whatsapp/line/zalo) to book private transfers in Da Nang/Hoi An/Hue.
If want to save a bit of money, visitors should drive a motorcycle. Hotel receptionists can help for a rental (the price is 100,000-250,000 VND/1 day without gasoline). Parking is free at Ba Na Hills. The quickest road is Ba Na Suoi Mo Road. From anywhere in Da Nang/Hoi An, please find the shortest way to see it. For an early morning trip, we advise renting the motorcycle the day before and make sure that it has no problems. In the evening, the parking lot is still in operation.
Book Hotel at Ba Na Hills
There is a hotel in Sun World Ba Na Hills (Mercure Hotel) for now. It’s located in the French Village, on the top of Nui Chua Mountain (about 1,400m above sea level).
If stay in Ba Na Hills at night, the guests can enjoy the peacefulness, fresh air, cool temperature, and the fairy beauty of a European city (‘a little Paris’).
After spending a night here, in the next morning, visitors can get the first cable car to Golden Hands Bridge. It’s needed to walk to the Louvre station (indoor, same direction to the Eclipse Square). Operation hours of this cable car line are often from 8 AM, same to the park’s business hours.
Because of being the first people on the bridge, hotel guests have many spaces to take beautiful pictures.
Before 8 AM, visitors have time to have breakfast, freely wander around the French Village, climb to Nui Chua Summit (‘the King Peak’) to watch the sunrise and see a panoramic view of the whole park and surrounding forests.
Besides benefits and values, the cost (2,000,000-3,000,000 VND/night/2 persons), the luggage (carrying to the mountain), or the cold (occasionally too low for those who live in hot countries) are some issues that visitors should know once booking.
Buy WOW Pass Ticket to Skip Lines
‘WOW pass’ is the priority ticket to skip the queues at Ba Na Hills’s cable car stations and some other places. Its price is from 300,000 to 3,000,000 VND for adults, and from 300,000 to 2,500,000 VND for kids. Visitors can buy tickets at the official ticket office of Sun World Ba Na Hills in the main entrance. At Novotel Premier Han Riverfront Hotel, InterContinental Peninsula Resort,… the guests have a wow pass ticket as a compliment when book.
If buy it, visitors will go on a separate lane at all cable car stations (the sign: ‘wow pass lane’) and be asissted by the sfaff over there, to have a private car.
