Pick up
Pick up time: anytime between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (local time)
Our driver will pick up you at your hotel in Hoi An (or any other locations if you provide us in advance).
Option 1: Cam Thanh Coconut Village
Here are things to see/do during the basket boat tour at Cam Thanh Coconut Village:
– Van Lang Fishing Village: see an authentic central Vietnam’s fishing village with thatched-roof bamboo house and embark the basket boat ride to discover the water coconut forest.
– Small canals inside Bay Mau Coconut Forest, a protected mangrove forest and former hiding place of Vietcong guerillas in the war.
– Watch a live performance of boat spinning by a local man and then have the chance to join him if want to have an adventurous experience.
– Watch how the locals catch fish by traditional net, the way they do every single day in the rivers to earn for living. Have the chance to try your hand if want to be a fisherman.
– Go crab fishing: follow the instruction from locals to catch small brackish crabs which run fast and hide well. Release crabs right before exit the coconut forest because won’t eat.
– Learn how to row the basket boat, a fishing vessel unique to central coast of Vietnam.
Option 2: Tra Nhieu Fishing Village (non-touristy)
The Tra Nhieu Village basket boat tour offers a peaceful escape into the heart of Hoi An’s lush coconut water forests. Navigating the narrow channels in a traditional bamboo vessel, you’ll witness local fishermen demonstrating their impressive “boat dancing” skills and unique net-casting techniques. Optional Vietnamese cooking class & lunch
Besides basket boat, a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class is a must do activity in Hoi An’s coconut villages. You can choose Cam Thanh Coconut Village Cooking Class or Tra Nhieu Cooking Class for the day.

After learning how to prepare some dishes, you will have lunch at the restaurant and take a rest then.
Return & drop off
Our driver will take you back to the hotel in Hoi An (or any other places if you requested us before). The tour ends.

Additional Information
– Our driver & guide will pick you at your hotel in Da Nang city center (including Hai Chau District, Son Tra District except Nai Hien Dong ward & Tho Quang ward, Ngu Hanh Son District except Hoa Hai ward & Hoa Quy ward) or Hoi An city center.
– In the end of the tour, our driver & guide will drop you off at your hotel.
– Pickup surcharge is required to visitors staying NOT in Da Nang city center or Hoi An city center.
– All surcharges are payable in cash directly to your tour guide.
– No pick up & drop off service in Tan Hiep area of Hoi An (Cham Island).
– Children above 1,4 meters height OR 10 years old will be charged same to adults.
– Children from 1 to 1,4 meters height OR from 5 to 10 years old, will have a discount.
– Children under 5 years old OR 1 meter height, will be free of charge.
– On your day of travel, if your kid is 1,4 meters and above (and you booked a children ticket previously), please pay the surcharge of 350,000 VND in cash.

– Any cancellation before 3 – 2 days of departure date will be charged 75% selling price.
– Any cancellation within 24 hours or no-show: non-refundable.

What to bring/wear
Visitors should wear comfortable walking shoes, hat/cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain poncho/jacket (from October to January), cash.
