Things to Do in Ciao Beach (Hon Thom)
Currently, due to new construction projects, Ciao Beach is the best beach for going swimming in Hon Thom Island (Hon Thom Nature Park). It boasts clear, unpolluted and shallow water, coupled with small waves, making it suitable for all ages. We advise not reaching to the north end of this beach because of sharp rocks.
Along the seaside, the sand at Ciao Beach is fine and clean, and coconut forests are tall, mature and lush. For that reason, this beach is also great for sightseeing, strolling, taking pictures or simply relaxing. It’s free of charge to use sun beds and chairs.
Watching sunset at Ciao Beach Hon Thom is also ideal. However, make sure you have time enough to return to the cable car (the last cable car at 5:00 pm). If miss the sunset here, we recommend walking to Kiss Bridge (free for those who purchased Hon Thom cable car tickets).
At Ciao Beach Hon Thom, there are some water spots and underwater adventures that visitors can consider:
– sea walking: 15 minutes, costing 1,250,000 VND per person
– sea walking with video making service: 15 minutes, costing 1,450,000 VND per person
– sea walking with video making and photography services: 15 minutes, costing 1,650,000 VND per person
– scuba diving with video making service: 20 minutes, costing 1,750,000 VND per person
Please make a reservation in advance if want to participate in any underwater activities. Ask for an assistance from staff at entrance of Aquatopia Water Park when needed. The best time of the year for them is from November to April (dry season).

Eating & Drinking in Ciao Beach (Hon Thom)
There is one restaurant-bar at Ciao Beach to eat and drink. It’s called ‘Ciao Beach Club’. Here visitors will see chicken and French fries, pizza (signature, Napoli, Pasto), spaghetti (Bolognese, tomato sauce, seafood), burgers (beef, chicken, mushroom), fresh juices, soft drinks and of course, Sun craft beer. Ciao Beach Club provides many seats under coconut trees, a peaceful ambience, extremely cool breeze and fresh air, and a good view to the sea. Compared to restaurants in water park or buffet venue, it’s less busy here. Highly recommended for nature seekers!

How to Get to Ciao Beach on Hon Thom Island
Ciao Beach is on the west coast of Hon Thom Island (Pineapple Island). Today, this island is accessible by cable car only. See more information about Hon Thom cable car
At Phu Quoc, visitors need to reach Anh Duong Station in the Sunset Town (Amalfi Road). This station is accessible by walking, car, bus, motorbike, and shuttle bus from Duong Dong and Bai Khem Beach. Within Sunset Town, the walking distance is less than 1,5km.
After taking cable car from Anh Duong Station (30 mins), visitors will arrive Hon Thom Island at Hon Thom Station. From here, go downstairs and reach Aquatopia Water Park.
To get to Ciao Beach, visitors need to take a free buggy from the entrance of Aquatopia Water Park. It’s available every 20 minutes, and if wait more than that, please come to water park’s entrance to ask for an assistance from staff.
The buggy transfer from the water park to the beach is around 10 minutes long. To return, please come to the bar-restaurant to ask for an assistance. The driver won’t wait after dropping off visitors because don’t know how long they spend at the beach.
