Better to Know about Ho Chi Minh Square (Phu Quoc)
On the former airport of Phu Quoc, to the north of Duong Dong town center, Ho Chi Minh Square is inaugurated on 19th May 2024, commemorating the 134th birthday of President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh. Total area of this square is up to 7 hectares. The president’s statue is 20,7 meters tall, 93 tons weight and was made by bronze during two years. He stands, places one of his hands on the heart, and looks towards the sea. Behind him, there is a bas-relief stretching 63 meters, and is created by 484 blocks of white stone. On the front surface of the bas-relief, places below the 17th parallel associated with life of Ho Chi Minh are carved. On the other side, there are places typical to the province such as islands, mountains, rivers, etc.
Beside the statue, visitors will see a temple and a memorial house where an abundance of information about Ho Chi Minh from early life to present life are provided.

How to Get to Ho Chi Minh Square (Phu Quoc)
Ho Chi Minh Square is on DT45 Road, Duong Dong town, Phu Quoc island, Vietnam.
From Duong Dong town center, the distance to Ho Chi Minh Square is around 1,5-2,5 kilometers. So, visitors can walk, take a taxi or ride the bicycle/motorcycle to get there. Parking lots are on Ho Chi Minh Square, and it’s free to park.
From An Thoi, a town in southern Phu Quoc, the distance to Ho Chi Minh Square in Duong Dong will be 27 kilometers. Visitors can take a private car/bus, shuttle buses, or ride the motorbike. The drive by car/bus is roughly 45 minutes. We suggest visiting other attractions in Duong Dong town if go from An Thoi.
From Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC), in the middle of Phu Quoc Island, the distance to Ho Chi Minh Square in Duong Dong will be 14 kilometers. Visitors can take a private car/bus or shuttle buses. The drive by car/bus is roughly 20-25 minutes.
